Students and staff are celebrating post 16 course success at Hampton College.
This is the first conventional results day since 2019, following the return of written examinations and external assessment this school year. We are particularly proud of this cohort of students, given the disruption to their education caused by the pandemic, which impacted them in Year 11, 12 and 13. It should be remembered that this group of young people did not get the chance to sit their GCSEs and had to access some of their education remotely in 2020 and 2021. Going straight into high stakes A level and vocational course examinations in 2022 has been a considerable challenge and we are so proud of how they have risen to it. It is also testament to the dedication of school staff, who kept things going right through the pandemic: their reward is to see the fantastic results these young people have achieved.
Head of School John Gilligan commented: ‘ We are so so proud of our students and their magnificent achievements; they reflect their excellent attitude and hard work which has paid off enormously. Their outstanding results are particularly impressive given the disruption they endured throughout their GCSE and A Level courses. So many excelled that it was extremely difficult to highlight our top performers, but those shared give a flavour of the level of outcomes we have seen this year. We wish them all well and thank them for helping Hampton College move from strength to strength.’
